  Barbara, please give me a Christmas present this year. I would love to be able to discuss even more lies with my parents when I see them in 2 weeks about something the Society hasn't had a chance to spin yet.

  Starting over...you may not want to make the leap to vegan right away. You can start by being a vegetarian or only eat fish as animal flesh. I'm a lacto-ova vegetarian....meaning I eat dairy, eggs, and veggies. I need protein to keep my body humming, so it's tough to do without eggs. I do buy my eggs from a local farmers market though, the chickens are free range organic certified.

  You mean assilmilated in THIS culture. This JUDEO-CHRISTIAN based culture. This VICTORIAN, PURITANICAL based culture. You speak as if somehow the United States' current culture is the pinnacle of enlightenment. LOL. It is so far removed from that it's silly. From Japanese samurai's, greek and roman homosexuality, American Indian shaman homosexuality, to various lesbian cultures, and island cultures that all embraced homosexuality. Sexual mores and practices have always been a shifting and refining process. Shall we talk about women's sexual freedoms too?
  
  Good grief. It's 2005 not 1955. Embrace diversity. Are we going to be slaves to our own limited JW perspective? Can we learn from the Allegory of the Den by Plato? Take off your blinders, walk out of the cave, and see a whole new world. Oh, and stop by the Kingdum Hall and leave your old reasonings behind. I'm sure a JW there could use it.

  JT...I like your 2nd post much better. Simple, clear. I think much of what we are saying is similar...we can blame semantics. There are a couple of differences. I want to spend a little time reading through your posts on your beliefs so I can reply in an equally clear and concise manner. I'm going to crawl into bed and try and sleep my cold off. I'll post tomorrow.
  
  Atypical - In no way was I saying JW was / is self-centered. His APPROACH to enlightenment or the "way", seems a BIT self-centered. It's not a personality trait I was discussing at all. But rather how he approaches some things. Do you approach something from the east? The west? The center? See? There are no right or wrong answers here. Just personal experiences and observations.
